Our country’s production is divided into two different major types: Upland and American Pima.
Texas is the nation’s top cotton-producing state, accounting for more than 45% of the country’s total output.
Upland accounts for 95% of US production (warm/hot conditions) and it can be used in apparel, curtains, home products and for hospital or medical usage.
America Pima cotton represents around 5% of US production (hot and dry conditions), with some grown in Texas and California.
